Best antenna for Amsterdam, NY
I would like to break the cable cord, and I went to TV Fool and I can get the NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX and PBS with an antenna, most are approx 23.7 miles from me, one is 31.3 and the last is 56.8. the true azimuth is mostly 154 degrees two are 109, and one is 152. all are 2edge. Hope I have provided enough information. Would appreciate any assistance, thank you!

Please review the Guidelines when asking for help. There you'll find instructions on how best to produce an accurate TV Fool Report and suggestions of additional details to provide.
It's very difficult to make an informed suggestion without seeing your TV Fool Report.

Sorry, I still don't see a link to your TV Fool Report.

Thanks for the link to your reception report.
The PBS affiliate WMHT is the weakest signal of the major network outlets. This calls for a large antenna such as the Winegard HD8200U or a combination of two high performance antennas such as the Antennas Direct 91XG and a Winegard HD5030. The two antenna system would be my preference. (Initial aim point - 165 to 170°)
In either case an Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp will be needed to overcome cable and splitter losses.

That's my preference as well. To pick up WYPX you'll want either a rotator on the 91XG or a third antenna with an A/B switch or a channel 50 Jointenna.
There may be an anomaly in the terrain data. WYPX (ION) is not necessarily LOS to your location on Florida Ave.

Tv antennas and Tv reception
WYPX-DT 50 ION is a VERY STRONG Signal. Even if WYPX is not LOS= Line Of Sight. WYPX signal strength is 71.5 NM (dB) and that is STRONG Signal. This , Kernal of Doubt stuff , that some helpers like to do here at tvfool is not a good practice.

I looked at the maps. I know the area well. I live less than 20 miles away from Amsterdam, NY. The situation with WYPX suggests an extremely directional UHF antenna. This will minimize overload from WYPX. The 91XG has the lowest side lobes and greatest front to back ratio.
No kernal of doubt exists in my post.

Flap over channel WYPX
I do not want people to argue about channel WYPX, I have it now on Time Warner, and I do not watch it. I am only interested in the NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and WMHT, which is actually my favorite, I am interested in the concept of having high definition channels without all the compression the cable companies traditionally do. I do appreciate the input I have gotten about the proper antenna in this area, and I will probably be looking forward to good weather to install an antenna. In the meantime, I still have Time Warner, I don't need all the channels, and I don't need the expense!
