Hello,
I'm located between two markets - Milwaukee at 92 degrees, and Madison at 266 degrees. Interested in getting the major networks. My complexities are as follows:
-No one else in my neighborhood has antennas and our roofs are quite visible, so I'd prefer to place ours in the attic. Over my attached garage I have a very large opening that can easily accommodate up to a 20'd (E to W) by 12'w (N to S) antenna without interfering with trusses. This opening faces east-west, with the east end going through a gable, so only vinyl siding to worry about. The roof is asphalt shingles.
-East of my location about 200' is a small hill that is heavily wooded - peak height of tree tops is probably 80'.
-I'll be splitting the antenna to two TVs, both that would require about 80ft of RG6, but also to a dual tuner HDhomerun. This I can locate in the attic with the antenna and just redistribute its output through CAT6.
I know an attic isn't the best location - but is there something that is likely to work? I ran the tvfool report at 16 ft, but could likely get the antenna a bit higher if it is less wide (have 70 in wide at 20' high off the ground).
