Tv Antennas and Reception

Your past posts say that you have a Antennacraft HBU33. The information I am giving is for the Antennacraft HBU33. NOT the Philips. Read and understand this about Real Digital Tv Channels and Virtual Digital Tv Channels. http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695 The Tv stations to receive are in the direction of 314 magnetic compass reading , the Tv antenna needs to be pointed in that direction and because the Tv stations are weak the Tv antenna needs to be Up High and clear of being blocked by the roof. In other words , the roof of the house must not be blocking reception. Tv antennas receive the best when nothing is blocking reception. Mount the Tv antenna at the top of the roof. Also the HBU33 Tv antenna must be horizontal with the ground. If you do not know what that means then think about this , when you lay on the ground you are horizontal with the ground , when you stand up you are vertical with the ground. Is more then one Tv is connected to the antenna?? If So. How many Tv's are connected?? <-- . --> Are the Tv's connected with coax cable ?? <-- . --> With a passive splitter or a amplified splitter ??<--.--> Is a preamplifier connected to the antenna ?? This is how to point a Tv antenna http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html You will find the bulk of the Digital Television Channels to the North West.

Your past posts say that you have a Antenncraft HBU33 . The information I am giving is for the Antennacraft HBU33. NOT the philips. The Pending Applications Included -- indicates that KUTH digital channel 32 is moving to 314 magnetic compass direction. That leaves K43JV digital channel 16 3ABN Religion channel at 199 magnetic compass. KUTF channel 12 Telemundo and the channels below that are extremely week and will require increased measures to receive them. KULX-LD low power digital14 Telemundo and a weather channel . KSVN-LD low power digital channel 25 and K39JS-D digital 39 Azteca America . K59GS digital channel 21 CTVN-Religion and Exitos Spanish Tv . KDPR-LD low power digital channel 19 Family Net , Biz Tv , Infomercials. . . . The programing as listed with these low power digital stations is likely Not 100 % correct.

On your past posts you say you have a Antennacraft HBU33 . The information I am giving is for the HBU33. . NOT the Philips. It is good to have a strong and stable Tv antenna Roof Mount such as a Tripod Roof Mount or a Chimney Roof Mount or a peak of the Roof Eave Mount. http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.starkelectronic.com , http://www.3starinc.com , http://www.amazon.com

The stations that you want are toward the NW, and a bit weak. Is the antenna aimed at 329°? Is the roof in the way when the antenna is aimed NW? If so, consider remounting the antenna on the north or west side of the house.

Once the antenna is aimed properly and in the optimum location you may find that an HDP-269 preamp is needed.

The Correct way to get Stronger Higher Signal Strength is with a Bigger Tv Antenna. A bigger antenna such as a HBU55 WILL supply more Real signal to the Tv's. http://www.antennacraft.net/Antennas/AntennasHBU.html
