I would try running with out an amplifier. If you loose a station after going through a 4-way splitter, you can add a distribution amplifier such as a PCT-MA2-M or a high input preamp such as an HDP-269.
You do not want to create problems by over amplification, there are a number of fairly strong FM stations on the same heading as the TV stations. Excessive amplification will create harmonic and inter-modulation signals that will interfere with reliable reception.
It's often helpful to know what stations can be seen reliably with the antenna connected directly to only one TV. Then, after adding the splitter, amplifier and any other cabling, you will know if there are problems in the distribution section of you installation versus the antenna itself.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
