Smile HD Only

Hello
I am looking for advice on an outdoor HD only TV antenna for my mothers house in Canada. She wants US channels. I found this antenna but I wonder if it as they are saying?
At antennadeals.com
They have a new item HD8008 Omni directional Amplified
HDTV Antenna with 35% more gain.
Powerful, long range outdoor antenna.
Receives all directions at the same time. No
pointing or tuning required. Quickly becoming
our most popular home antenna!
I am also looking for the best cable to use.
RG59 or RG6?
Thanks

Antenna gain occurs when the antenna becomes directional. Therefore the advertising claim of 35% more gain and omnidirectional cannot be true.

Smile I will re phrase my question

I may have broken a rule or two so I will rephrase my question.
I didn't see an antenna for HD TV anywhere on your site that refers to
these type of antennas :Omni directional Amplified HDTV Antenna.
Is this possible?Receives all directions at the same time? No
pointing or tuning required???
Thanks

Omni antennas generally receive poorly from all directions. Slapping a cheap, high gain amp on one does not turn it into a good, long range antenna.

If you'd like a recommendation for your mother's situation, please complete the steps outlined and we will be happy to assist you.

Please make and post a tvfool report.

Use the Exact reception location to make the tvfool report.

Make the antenna height in the report , 25 feet antenna height above ground.
