antenna advice

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...e1c66e431146bb

Hello. I am currently using a Winegard Freevision Antenna. I am able to get: CBS and ABC with no problems. I can usually get PBS, FOX with no problems. I am unable to get NBC or CW. I have the RCA preamplifier that is often recommended connected on my antenna mast due to my long coax run (all RG6).

I am interested in getting all 6 of the network channels in my area. I don't need W07DD or WEIU.

I've noticed one of my neighbors has an antenna that looks like the Winegard MS-2002. I've also looked at the Winegard HD7694P and the Antennacraft HBU33. Would any of these antenna be a good option for me ? Since I have towers in several directions, which direction should I point the antenna ? I would prefer to have as small of antenna as possible. I want to avoid using a rotor since I want to be able to connect multiple TVs and a DVR to the antenna.

Thanks,
Brad

I'd go with either the Winegard HD7694P or the Antennacraft HBU33.
Aimed at about 250 degrees magnetic, to start.
You should pick up Fox & ABC off the back, while getting maximum gain for the weaker western stations.

If you can get it higher than 15 feet, that would probably help.

The Tv signals are strong at your reception location.

The FreeVision should work Ok.

Aim the FreeVision antenna at about 270 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , do not trust a cell phone or tablet compass.

Replace the matching transformer (balun) with a New outdoor matching transformer.

Connect a NEW Continues Length of Coax to the New matching transformer and run the New Continues Length of Coax through a open door or window direct to 1 Tv.

No antenna system amplifier. Disconnect and Remove All Parts of the amplifier , Disconnect and Remove the Preamp , Disconnect and Remove the Power Injector/Power Supply.

-----------

Digital Broadcast Tv Tuners can develop - Digital Glitches - that are not cleared out with simple channel scans.

Can also Test reception with a , http://www.antennacraft.net.

HBU33 antenna aimed at about 270 degree magnetic compass direction.

No antenna system amplifier.

-----------

For a antenna system amplifier use a , http://www.antennacraft.net.

10G201 preamplifier.

With the Test coax.
