More then interest , is important information.

Here is a 1 antenna shot at reception without going to a antenna rotator or 2 antennas.

Above the roof install a ANT751 antenna in such a manner that the roof or house does not block reception to the , north east , east , south east , south , north west , north.

Aim the ANT751 antenna at about 100 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Install a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

The ANT751 antenna comes with a J type antenna mount.

Not much money at http://www.solidsignal.com or http://www.amazon.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install a antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own house.

The Tv Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Sounds good. One of my friends is usind a Antennas Direct - ClearStream 2V.
He is not using the CPA-19 preamp and gets so so results. For my application do you still feel the ANT751 is my best choice. I see so many others are recomending the wineguard brand. Thanks

The ANT751 has some forward signal gain and receive good at front angles , back and back angles to the ANT751 antenna.

I recommend the the ANT751.

Your friend can remove the -->Reflector Screen<-- from the CS2V antenna and the CS2V will receive at the , front - front angles , back - back angles.

(Please note that the reception loops are not the reflector screen. Please note the 2 VHF channels 7 thru 13 metal reception rods are not the reflector screen. Please note that the reflector screen looks like and is the wire screen , and that is what is removed.)

(And yes I know what Antennas Direct says about there own CS2V antenna , they call the VHF channels 7 thru 13 metal reception rods the reflector screen , any one can see that the VHF metal reception rods are not the reflector screen.)

Aim either side of the CS2V at about , 100 degree magnetic compass direction.

And your friend can install a CPA-19 preamp.

As always , the starting aim direction of a antenna is --> the starting aim direction.

The Aim direction of a antenna can be adjusted for best reception.

Most Digital Tv's have a signal strength meter and some digital Tv's also have a signal quality meter.
