I have a cabin a remote part of North Carolina. The cabin is in a small valley and I ran an AntennaCraft 1850 outdoor Antenna about 200 feet up the hill and ran some cheap coax to it. I am also using a Channel Master 7777. Right now I only get one station all the time. I am thinking of buying some good coax and running my antenna to the top of the hill, about another 100 feet. I was just wondering if the channel master 7777 will work with 300 feet of Coax. Below is my TV Plot for where the Antenna will be, my cabin is down the hill. Thanks!

I recommend , for improved power supply transfer of power from the power supply out to the preamp and improved Tv signal from the preamp to the Tv.

Use RG-6 quadshield , with solid copper center conductor (not copper covered steal).

A continues run of coax from the power supply to the preamp.

It seems that none of the manufactures provide specific power consumption data for their preamps. All of the information I've dug up is other users opinions... which can't be verified so I'll offer that my 'hunch/opinion' is that the power requirements will be met at 300', but that the lower resistance of RG-6Q would help. I would also suggest you consider the lower resistance and RF loss of RG-11.

If at all possible, avoid splicing sections together, it increases the chance of water intrusion and added resistance / RF losses.

So far so good, the Channel Master is working and I'm getting about 8 channels. I'm getting some I didn't expect and not some I thought I was. I am trying to tweak it but its working. Thanks for the help.

Aim the antenna at about 180 degree magnetic compass direction.

The 180 degree aim direction is a in between aim direction , between the Tv stations to the south west and south east.

Looking at the Digital Pending Applications Included radar map and channel list , I see that .

To the , south west , W35CO-D , WLOS , W02AT , W09AS , are most likely to be received.

To the , south east , W08BF , W31DI , are most likely to be received.

WCYB-Tv 5 NBC is a fairly strong signal and should be received through the back of the antenna.
