Hi guys,
I am new to this site and off air HD programming in general but my family has decided that they would like to give this a try and cancel our satellite subscription. We need some help selecting an antenna and determining how everything should be tied together. Our location is approx 20 miles due north of downtown Indianapolis. See

Right now we have a monthly subscription to Dish Network which includes 2 HD receivers (VIP622 DVR and VIP722K DVR). Each of these receivers currently provides a signal to 2 TV's. The satellite dish is mounted on the south side of our house on the roof and 2 coax cables run from there directly to our basement utility room where they go through a couple of splitters before heading out to the DVR's and TV's. Right now 2 of our TV's are HD and 2 are not, which will probably change in the next year as we upgrade the other 2 sets. In addition, there are coax cables runs from the basement utility room via splitters to 2 other locations where we can plug in a small 13" TV when exercising in the basement or while cooking in the kitchen. Regarding placement of the new HD antenna, it could possibly go where the satellite dish is now or more preferrably in our attic on the south side of the house, which is approx 25 ft above ground level. When we first moved into the house, I mounted an antenna in our south attic (not HD), and there is a coax cable connected to it that goes directly to the utility room so this may be the best location if the new HD antenna is too large or conspicuous to mount outside. The distance from the attic antenna to our basement utility room is probably 80ft. From the utility room back to the tv's is 20ft, 40ft, 50ft, 80ft respectively.
I need some help picking the antenna plus anything else I would need (signal strength devices, boosters etc). Can you recommend some good models that would work for my situation?
Also, are there DVR's or other devices that can go next to a tv or in our utility room to tape shows? I have a cat5 cable to most of the TV's so if there are other options for internet TV or anything else coming available in the future I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks.
