Lost channel with new TV

I recently upgraded to a new 32" tv in my apartment living room. It replaced a 19" flat screen that I put in the bedroom to replace a 13". The issue I am having is the living room tv no longer picks up my local nbc. I have a RCA Ant751R antenna mounted outside. I still get nbc in bedroom. The line coming in from the antenna has a splitter which goes to both tvs. What could cause the loss of nbc? Here is my tvfool report. http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...0b866d0d6a399c I was looking into getting a Rca tvprampir outdoor ant preamp. Any ideas if this would help? Thanks, Marc B

Tv antennas and Tv reception

Aim the antenna at about 320 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. The tvfool radar map was resolved to street level only. At street level only , Yes the digital broadcast tv transmissions are strong enough to be split two ways. The ANT751R antenna is for reception of channels 7 thru 69 and not channels 2 thru 6. WLBZ 2 NBC is showing in the tvfool real channel list as transmitting on digital channel 2. That said the channel 2 transmission is strong and if received by one tv should received by the other tv. And that said , I would install a Winegard HD7000R All Channel antenna. All channels are , VHF low 2 thru 6 , VHF high 7 thru 13 and UHF 14 thru 69. However before changing the antenna , make sure the tv is scanning for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels sometimes called 'Air Channels' because the tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna. Do Not scan for cable tv channels. Also check all connections.

Connect the Element tv to the connection where the other tv is connected , if still no channel 2 then return the tv.

Tv antennas and Tv reception

So the HD7000R antenna has been installed. I will like to know , please , how is the reception of WLBZ 2 NBC on both tv's?? Any , drop outs , pixilation , picture breaks up into blocks ?? What is the signal strength , if one or both tv's have a signal quality meter , what is the signal quality readings ?? Any fluxuations on strength or quality??

The reception of WLBZ is very good. Comes in on both tvs now. The new tv has no meter but the 19" does. Will check readings when I get back there, there were some fluxuations on it but I put it up in a hurry and need to repoint with compass. Will post back after adjusting and on the signal reading.

Just readjusted the antenna and now recieving channel 2,5 and pbs at 75% channel 7 is in the high 90s, very good signal, excellent picture too bad didn't have more channels available but at least I got the networks and pbs. Thank you for the advice on the antenna selection Electron, very helpful site.

The reason I am interested in WLBZ real channel 2 , is because channels 2 thru 6 are subject to more interference from natural and human made sources. So , 75% signal strength and no pixelazation or drop out of signal. A good clear steady signal. Thanks.
