Need expert recommendation on antenna

Browsing through these threads, there's certainly a great deal of knowledge and experience out there. Hoping someone could share that with me. I have a 2nd home that I'm looking to capture as many free TV channels as possible. Here's my report: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...9e745109d4c494.
It's a single story home. Attic installation is pretty much not an option. I also have a metal roof. I plan to only connect to one TV, but a 2nd TV might be desired in the future. Would be happy to get CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX ... any others would be a bonus. Looking for the simplest and most cost effective antenna and installation. Thanks.

Reception of an ABC affiliate is the determining factor here. You will need a roof mounted antenna with as much gain on real channel 13 as can be had.

The Winegard HD7698P fits that criteria. Pair it with an Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamplifier, a good tripod and mast section and you should see all of the networks you listed... +.

(Sorry if this scrapes the ceiling of your budget.)

I agree , Winegard HD7698P antenna , and Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp. Aim the antenna at about 338 degree magnetic compass , Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. Here are antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html. You will receive the channels you named and more , many more.

Get the antenna at least 5 feet above that metal roof , don't want signal reflections from that metal roof causing to much interference with the reception. Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.starkelectronic.com , http://www.3starinc.com
