A simple solution for much of the San Diego area is a Winegard HD1080.

A premium solution for your exact location would be a 4-bay UHF facing 83° (compass) and a high-VHF pointing at 293° (compass). Combine the two using a UVSJ.

4-bay antennas:

Thanks for the quick response....as you can guess, I'm in the market for an antenna, so I can dump Cox Cable. Your info should be of help,as the area I'm in is a "special needs" area!

LOL...yes, it's a special needs area. I'm in a hole (valley) with foothills surrounding on all sides, so difficult to receive stations with any regularity. That's why I went to cable in the first place, but they've gotten so out-of-control with their pricing that I've decided to switch back. I'm sure that the new antennas are far superior to the old and I'm hoping for better reception.
I know that I won't get all of the stations that I get with cable, but I'm sick of paying them well over $100.00 monthly, for stuff I don't even watch!!!
