If this is a hobby interest, you may consider stacking or ganging two or four identical antennas.  
http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=1024  This strategy provides additional gain and directivity, theoretically eliminating the need for amplification.  Ganging two or four 91-XG's would be a possibility if you were inclined to try. 
ADTech and I agree that an amplifier in you location would likely be overloaded by the strong local stations.
FWIW a Yagi style antenna cut for channel 10, with sufficient gain (13dB or more) would be at least 18 feet long.  
Again, this would be a hobbyist DX'rs project.
