Charlotte NC Antenna Suggestion

Hello,
I currently use one of these (http://www.amazon.com/DISH-Network-U...remote+antenna ) to get my OTA TV. I get all the Network channels, but sometimes they do go in and out. I have a train track close by and notice that affects it. I currently have it sitting on the TV, but would like to make it run into the attic to increase reception. Would that little antenna still be good or do I need something else? I live pretty close to town and am scared if I buy too good of an antenna I may hurt more than I help the signal. Below is my link. I guesstimated 30 feet in the air for the attic. I did some research but just dont know for sure what i need. I thought something like this might help. http://www.amazon.com/Eagle-Aspen-Dt...ref=pd_sim_e_8 Thanks in advance!

The tracks run east-west to the south of my house. They are about 1/2 mile away from my house.

Wow! I love it! The RF remote receiver antenna gets new life!

The Eagle Aspen is UHF only so you'll lose stations like WTVI which is VHF. You are close to the transmitter tower, and some say that VHF can be tuned when that close, but that antenna just isn't optimal.

I recommended the ANT-751 to someone else earlier, and I think you'll get fine results w/it in this case. You have a lot of good signal coming at you from various directions and the 751 isn't as directional as others. As for the direction, I'm not sure where is best to point it. That may take some adjusting. Likely you could point at the weaker signals from the west, where those transmitters in Gastonia are; channels 3 & 36 broadcast from there. The others would come in on the back side likely since they're much closer.
