ALL questions and answers about broadcast tv reception and More.

The following is a Teleview - recommendation for broadcast Tv reception.

Antenna system # 1.

For reception of the Digital Tv station/channels in the Green and Yellow reception zones of the tvfool channel list to the north east.

Instal a Winegard HD7696P antenna with no preamp aimed at about 65 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a common simple 3 way splitter.

For 4 Tv's connected use a common simple 4 way splitter.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

It is best to install a Tv antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions in the direction of reception.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

The following is a Teleview - recommendation for digital broadcast Tv reception.

Antenna system # 2.

If you will like to try for reception of the Digital Tv stations/channels of the tvfool channel list to the south.

Above the roof install a Winegard HD9095P UHF antenna with a Winegard AP8275 preamp aimed at about 164 degree magnetic compass direction.

Most likely , WPXE-DT 40 ION Tv , WISN-TV 34 ABC , WCGV-TV 25 MyNetwork , WMVT 35 PBS , will most likely be received.

The only way to find out is try it.

For 1 tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

For 4 Tv's connected use a HFS-4D , 4 way splitter.

_________________________________________

The HD9095P UHF antenna , preamp , and All coax and splitters and etc. , is Not Connected to the other antenna system.

Antenna system #'s 1 and 2 are Separate antenna systems.

At each Tv location will be a Remote control A/B antenna coax switch.

http://www.radioshack.com , #15-1968 , or , http://www.mcmelectronics.com , #32-4425 .

Remote control A/B antenna switches are channel surfing friendly , press the button on the hand held remote control , change antenna systems and keep on channel surfing.

If you will like to add 2 more Digital Tv stations/channels , install a Winegard YA1713 VHF high band antenna aimed at about 313 degree magnetic compass for reception of , WSAW-TV channel 07 CBS and MyNetwork , WAOW channel 09 ABC and CW and This Tv.

Connect the HD9095P and YA1713 together with a UVSJ = UHF/VHF Separator/Joiner and connect the AP8275 preamp to the UVSJ to amplify both antennas.

The HD9095P and YA1713 connected this way are an extended larger antenna system # 2.
