Any chance with indoor antenna? Located between NYC and Philly

Hey everyone.

I live in an apartment about halfway between NYC and Philly.

Unfortunately I'm not able to install an attic or roof-top antenna, so my only real option would be an indoor antenna of some sort. I live on the second (top) floor of the apartment, so the antenna will be ~15-18ft above ground level. The apartment window faces NE (in the other direction several walls will be in the way).

I'm not after every channel available - a couple of the main channels (out of ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS etc) would be sufficient (mainly just for nightly news).

Is there any chance that I might be able to achieve this in this location? If so, would anyone have any specific recommendations for an antenna type that would work? It seems like it may be a bit tough from the reception reports.

Would an amplified indoor antenna be the best option to try in this location?

Place a , TERK HDTVi antenna (not HDTVa antenna) in/at the North East window.

Aim the HDTVi antenna at about 50 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim indoor and outdoor antennas, www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna.

If the coax runs through the apartment from the antenna in the window to the Tv , then so be it because Reliable Reception is More Important then objections to coax running through the apartment.

Reception can be Tested without and witha , Winegard LNA-100 Boost amplifier.

----------------

Go into the the Tv Setup Menu.

The Tv Must Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air , Antenna Channels , Air Channel , ATSC-Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable Tv channels.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. .

www.amazon.com
