Help pick an antenna for Victoria, BC

Hi,

Below is a link to the tvfool analysis report for my location.

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...4033f4b07dca33

If this can help, the location is a house with few apartment buildings around. I would really appreciate if someone could help us pick the right antenna in order to get a clear HD signal of CBC, CTV as well as other local stations. We will also want to hook up the antenna to 2-3 televisions in the house. I'm not sure how this can be accomplished and would really appreciate some information or diagram of the hookup.

Thanks!

The default antenna height of the tvfool report is 10 feet. The antenna will need to be higher to receive the USA stations to the south. Please make two more tvfool radar reports , one at 25 feet and one at 40 feet antenna heights.

You have plenty of signal from the nearby Victoria stations but you'll need a bit larger antenna to get the Vancouver stations reliably. I'm inclined to recommend a Winegard HD9075 or 9095. http://www.winegarddirect.com/viewit...P%29&p=SHD9095

I'd try this with no amplifier. The strong local signals are on the same azimuth as the Vancouver signals so it's possible to overload most preamplifiers. If you don't have enough signal to split, a Winegard HDP-269 or Antennas Direct CPA-19 can be added later. These preamplifiers are more tolerant of high level input.

Here's a very basic diagram.

A good antenna mounting height is about 20 to 25 feet.
