Looking for antenna help Hurricane,WV

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...5b940e78b9c080

I am canceling my Direct TV , I currently have a small Terk antenna that is attached to the dish with thumbscrews and is powered by the DTV receivers. I would like to remove the dish and attach a new antenna to the dish mount and use the existing coax to two TVs. The antenna I have now will receive everything I want but WSAZ the NBC station can be spotty. So I am looking for advice on a new antenna.

Above the Peak of the Roof in such a manner that reception is not , obstructed , impeded , blocked , by the roof and building in the directions of , West West North , East South East.

Install a , www.antennacraft.net , HBU11K antenna , aimed at about 295 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna.

----------

No antenna system amplifier is required.

----------

For 1 Tv connected , use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a simple common 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv' connected use a simple common 3 way splitter.

-----------

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc.

www.amazon.com

www.antennacraft.net

http://www.summitsource.com.

---------------

To Prove Reception

Connect a NEW Continues length of coax to the HBU11K antenna and run the NEW Continues length of coax through a open door or window , direct to 1 Tv.

----------

Digital tuners can develop - Digital Glitches - that are not cleared out with simple channel scans.

To clear tuner do Double Rescan.

www.wchstv.com/DoubleReScanAlert.pdf

--------------------------

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and building.

Some and not all Negative Effects are.

Absorbing and Blocking Reception.

Multi-Path Reflecting Tv Signals Bouncing All Around.

The Best Pratice is to install the HBU11K antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception.

Thank you for your reply, solidsignal recommended the Wineguard MS2002 Metrostar. I am researching and waiting for the weather to cooperate before I get on the roof.

For a long time , a real long time , solidsignal was the first recommendation for antennas and etc. .

Because of repeated reports of less then correct antenna and other recommendations I have stopped recommending solidsignal.

Splitters reduce signal strength , when a split takes place signal strength is reduced.

Tuners in and of and by them selfs have little effect on signal strength.

If you are only splitting two ways to feed the two chassis, no, try without any amplification.

If you have to split 6-ways, then maybe. But try it 'bare-foot' first.

295 deg then tweaked a. little , just like teleview recommended . Fox and ABC are aprox 180 deg from the others so I tried to aim the backside towards them .
