We are 65 miles from Jax FL and about the same from Orlando.
I can roof mount at about 32-35'.

I have a Drop amp EDA 2462 [5-42 54-1000 mhz 6kv 15vdc]
And my direct tv satellite cable pre-installed in the house.
I want to hook up 2 tv sets.
Thought I would buy an "Eagle Aspen ROTR100" rotor.

Lost in Florida, thanks Floridaron

ALL questions and answers about broadcast tv reception and More.

The following is a Teleview recommendation for broadcast tv reception.

Antenna system number 1.

For the Deltona/Orlando groups of Digital Tv stations/channels install a Winegard HD7698P antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 Preamp , aimed at about 190 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

Here are places to buy the HFS splitters. http://www.hollandelectronics.com , http://www.solidsignal.com.

If you have a way to mount the antenna then Ok , if not then here are some antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/Tripods5200703/4712.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

It is best to locate the Tv antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the direction of reception.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or ' Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Do not channel scan for cable tv channels.

The following is a Teleview recommendation for broadcast Tv reception.

Antenna system number 2.

Aim a Winegard HD 7698P antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp , aimed at about 342 degree magnetic compass direction.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter and no amplifier.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

2 Separate antenna systems are Channel Surfing Friendly , press the button on the hand held remote control , change antennas and keep on channel surfing.

Antenna systems numbers 1 and 2 are not connected on to one coax.

The 2 antenna systems are Separate all the way to the locations of the Tv's.

The 2 Separate antenna systems are connected to a Remote control A/B coax antenna switch at each Tv location. http://www.radioshack.com , #15-1968 , or , http://www.mcmelectronics.com , #32-4425 .

A/B antenna switching is Channel Surfing Friendly , press the button on the hand held remote control , change antennas and keep on channel surfing.

Is Ok to install 1 antenna system to begin with , Deltona/Orlango has many more Digital Tv stations/channels then Jacksonville.

Using a Antenna with a Rotator is Not Channel Surfing Friendly , must wait for antenna to rotate , and not every one in the house will agree on where the antenna is aimed.

Simple, effective DTV reception solutions

Install an Antennas Direct CS2 complete antenna with a Winegard AP8700 pre-amplifier and the Eagle Aspen rotor.

Follow the instructions with the rotor for a single coax configuration.

You will receive both of the markets that you desire and more.
