Setup help Moving and wondering if OTA is possible

Hi, I've been looking at these forums on and off for several months and it seems, from what I see, that each case is very different from another and it seems that there are some very knowledgeable people here that are able to help with those situations. This is why I've finally decided to ask for some help from the community.

I'll be moving in a few months to a location that has an antenna mast already installed. Don't want to pay for TV as we don't watch it very often; but still nice to have from time to time. This is my TV Fool report

I'm wondering if with a channel master masterpiece 5020 or winegard 8200U if it will at all be possible to get the 4 americans from my location:

or am I just way too far and no antenna or pre-amp can help.

Would still want the local canadians as well

My antenna height is set at 30 but would be 25 if I were able.

The setup would be about 50ft of COAX split at some point Two or Three ways to two or three seperate PCI tuners (depending if I two way or three way split)

I'm hoping I've given all the necessary information and hope that this is a possibility.

Look forward to hearing from you guys.

All of your receivable Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels are one direction ~~South.

The Canada Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels will be received.

And WCFE , PBS , will be received.

And Yes it is true that the following USA Digital Tv stations/channels are weak and -Yes- receivable signal strengths , and have 2 edge path obstructions and are far away at 90.2 miles.

You have nothing to lose and Tv stations to gain by trying for the following USA Digital Tv stations/channels.

The only way to find out if some or all of the following USA Digital Tv station/channels are reliably received is put a antenna -Up High - in the air.

Above the roof ^UP^HIGH^ in such a manner that the roof and house are not blocking reception to the ~South.

Install a Winegard HD7698P antenna aimed at about 167 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas ,

The Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp has been discontinued , if you can find one , use the CPA-19 preamp.

If not then use a.

Install a Winegard HDP-269 preamp.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a , HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

Here are some places to buy Antennas and HFS splitters and etc. .

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , do a good job of , absorbing , multi-path reflecting , blocking , OTA=Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and house.

It is best to install the HD7698P antenna , ^UP^High^ , at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and house.

The Tv's Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the , 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will Automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select , 'Air Channels' / 'Antenna Channels'.

You have a good chance at seeing some of the weaker signals if you mount high, using a high gain antenna such as the HD7698P.

Be sure to avoid preamplifiers that are not specifically intended for strong signal conditions. The two suggestions provided thus far can tolerate the strong local signal better than many other preamps.
If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
