Antenna help Cleveland

Decided to cut the cord. Just tried out the Leaf indoor antenna and can pick up most signals except for CBS . I really would like to get the CBS station.

Here is my tvfool report:

Now I’m looking at the RCA ANT751R Outdoor Antenna . Will this work for me? Or any other suggestions? Will eventually hook up 3 tv’s to this.

The ANT-751 would be a much better choice because it is designed to receive UHF and High-VHF signals. The Leaf is a UHF only design.

WJW, WOIO & WCDN are broadcast on High-VHF channels.

Outdoor mounting is also going to help as well.

Try this with a passive 3-way splitter, no amplifier. Most 3-way splitters have a -4 dB port and two -8 dB ports, use the -4 dB port to feed the longest cable run.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)

Antenna help Cleveland, another question

Thanks for the help.

I saw this antenna: RCA NT700R. This is an amplified outdoor one. Wonder if this would be a better option for me?

W38ET UHF channel 38 PBS , is a repeater Tv station for WVIZ-DT UHF channel 26 PBS to the south west.

So that means that All of the receivable Digital Tv stations to go after with one antenna are to the , south west , south.

I recommend a Winegard HD7696P antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp aimed at about 205 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

It is best install the antenna above the roof in such a manner that the roof and house is not blocking reception to the , south west , south.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's conneced use a , HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

Buy the HFS splitters at , http://www.hollandelectronics.com , or , http://www.solidsignal.com.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install the HD7696P antenna at a location that has little to no obstructions of any type or kind in the direction of reception including your own house.

The Tv's Must Channel Scan for the Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.
