Ant3037e

Anyone have gain numbers on this 66 inch antenna?

https://www.rcaantennas.net/outdoor/?sku=ANT3037E

Indeed I have a hard time finding gain numbers on most of the RCA antennas.
Emails to the Voxx people remain unanswered.

To me it looks like a knock-off of the Winegard HD-7010.

Click the "SPECS" tab on the following link for a good approximation of performance.

VOXX doesn't publish any kind of technical data for their RCA-branded antennas.

When last I heard (been a while), Winegard was producing the RCA stick antennas under a contract with VOXX. Probably why so many of the RCA antennas have look-alike models of older Winegard designs. That's also why Winegard's matching TV2900 transformers also look exactly like the RCA-branded VH10R at your local Lowe's store.

Here is my reply from Voxx support;

Unfortunately, the gain information is proprietary information that we prefer not to share outside of our organization. The ANT3037E will perform better than the ANT751 as it's a is a much larger antenna and has a higher gain.

I suppose I have to give them a point for responding... But can I deduct points for the response?

That's one of the antennas I use. Thanks to Tower Guy, I finally have gain specs I've been looking for too!

I've had the same "responses" from Voxx too. I finally found specs for my RCA 751R on same site for the Winegard HD7000R. Same antenna with extension elements for low VHF.

I've been satisfied with my RCA 3037R so far. Longer boom helps with pick up of a few lower powered stations over L.A., 35 miles away, that are of interest to me. Signal strength for these is marginal but watchable. A bit more gain overall than the 751/HD7000. I would recommend it if you don't need to reach out beyond 65 miles, according to the owners manual.

A followup when I asked is it 1/3 the gain of 751? double? triple?

The highest gain for the ANT3037E is 10.5 dBi.

So thats a little less secret I guess.. I guess one should buy the RCA antennas based on the packaging color or what they look like...
