Here are my signal analysis results.
We have an antenna in our attic (we own a second story home and it was there when we moved in, can't find specifics about it). However, only one channel (2.1) came in. So we bought an amplifier (antenna mounted high-gain signal amplifier with booster) and plugged in in on the first floor behind our TV. Then we got 2.1, 5.1(choppy), 11.1, 38.1-38.3. So we moved it to the attic near the antenna (as directions say to mount it). Now suddenly we get the channels we care about (2.1, 5.1, 26.1, 38.1-38.3) but lost 11.1 which is HUGE and we don't get 14.1 either, which would be nice but is not necessary.
We noticed that 11.1 in the complete opposite direction of the other stations, but it was coming in when the amplifier was on the first floor. Why would moving the amplifier make us lose the signal completely?
Any ideas? We are very ignorant when it comes to the entire antenna process. Thanks.
