Question Are digital to analog tv signal converters....

I use a digital to analog tv signal converter to watch over the air tv on an old analog tv.

I receive vhf channels 2,6,and 12. 2 and 6 are ok now(switched from rabbit ears to a 20 element antenna) but 12 is sometimes weak and sometimes not weak.

Has anyone found that digital to analog converters to be unreliable or troublesome?

I used one for years and only had problems w/ channels dropping from the memory, but my Sony does that, too.
It also reacted to channel changes, slower than dial up. LOL!
