Commencing Antenna search

I am looking to mount the antenna in my attic. I would like to get all the channels I can get with the purchase of this antenna. But all I really need are the main channels abc, nbc, fox and cbs. The CBS channel I need is so that I can watch my favorite football team. It is channel 47.1 and it reads 26.8 db and -64 dbm. Im guessing it may be hard to get this channel. Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced.

A simple reception situation.

KPGE-DT Real UHF channel 34 , Virtual channel (47.1) , CBS , will be received and , many , many , many , many , many , more , Tv stations/channels.

Above the roof install a Antennas Direct , Clear Stream 2 Complete UHF/VHF Antenna , http://www.antennasdirect.com/store/...VHF-Combo.html , with the Reflector Screen Removed so the antenna will receive at the front and back of the antenna.
The Digital Tv stations/channels to the , north/west , north , north/east . south/east will be received.

With the reflector screen removed aim either side of the CS2 Complete UHF/VHF antenna at about 355 degree magnetic compass.
Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Here are some roof top antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.antennasdirect.com , http://www.amazon.com.

A antenna amplifier is not required for 1 or 2 tv's connected.

How many Tv's are/will be connected??

The Tv/s must scan for the Broadcast Tv Channels sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv channels travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT scan for cable Tv channels.

Here is the Federal Antenna Law that says Yes you can , install , use , and maintain antennas above the roof.

DTV/cell phone reception advise and products

In your attic you should be ok if you mount an RCA ANT751 antenna. Point it toward either group of stations and the group from the oposing direction should come in just fine. One direction may be better than the other, so try the direction of your CBS station first.

As of right now I was going to only connect two tv's. I was planning on using the existing coax lines that were run throughout my house by my soon to be previous satellite provider. I found the splitter they are using in the attic. Electron will that antenna work in the attic? Ive read great things about the clearstream antennas and I would like to get that one but signals unlimited specifically said that the rca antenna will work in the attic. So Im leaning towards the rca because I do not want to mount on my roof.

It is your choice.
You can start with either antenna in the attic. And move to above the roof later.

If the weak signal strength KVHF-LD Real UHF channel 42 , http://amgtv.tv , is not received with a antenna in the attic.

And you will like to receive.

The antenna can be moved to the roof.
