Help with indoor Antenna

I am hooking up a bedroom TV on the second floor of my house (20' high, one window) and I wanted to pick up a few chanels. Right now I have just a very cheap rabit ear antenna, about 3 inches fully extened and I get only three channes (22.1, 22.2, 22.3). With looking online I feel like I should get a few more channels. I would prefere to just use an indoor antenna for ease of hookup. Would getting a new antenna help, can I just use a small indoor antenna or do I need something bigger to get a few channels? Any help would be appreciated.

I was looking at the ClearStream Micron Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna for $15 on amazon.com. The price is great but a waste if it does not help.

The Micron isn't going to do the job for you since you have VHF stations out of Baltimore. Our smallest antenna that would do the job is the ClearStream 2V. I frequently recommend it to folks who can withstand its size indoors. Of course, it can also go outdoors or in an attic as needed.

Make certain you place your indoor antenna in front of a window that faces Baltimore. Receiving only ch 22.x suggests that the antenna is ill-placed within the building or there are external signal blockers in the way or that you have a particularly weak antenna. Those are definitely out there, I found several of them available for sale in retail stores that were quite terrible as well as several that were quite decent.

Are VHF channels harder to capture? How do I determine what channels are VHF vs UHF?

VHF indoors is much harder do to combinations of lower transmit signal powers, the requirement for physically larger antennas, and indoor electrical interference as well as FM radio interference.

Look under the heading labeled "Real" on your plot. 13 and below are VHF, 14 and up are UHF.

Would a clearstream 4 or clearstream 5 work? Could I add vhf to them?
