3 Cable Lines

Hi Guys.

I plan in ditching TV and Phone and keeping internet. In preparing to cut the cord, I noticed that I have 3 cable line coming into the house. Why is this? Is one dedicated to internet, one to phone and one to TV? Or are they all the same and I can use any of the 3 for internet?

Thanks,

John

Your theory sounds very plausible, 'one coax to each outlet' would be a 'home run' arrangement, the preferred cabling scheme. You should be able to disconnect one cable from the splitter and confirm what it feeds then check the next.

Be sure to keep any cable company signals totally separate from your OTA TV system, you don't want to cause interference to licensed radio services by transmitting cable company signals through your antenna.
