Chimney mount questions...

Just wondering if anyone can provide some insight on chimney mounts. I've bought my antenna and preamp and I'm all ready to begin mounting to my chimney, but I have simple question.

I'm going to use the strap type chimney mounts if possible, but I see that they only come in certain sizes (i.e. 18', 24' etc). My chimney doesn't really match any of the sizes i've seen (its more like 16.5 foot all the way around).

So my question is this: Are the straps pre-formed, or will any strap that is longer than the total perimeter of my chimney work (i.e. I can use the 18' one?)?

Thanks in advance for your input.

The straps are adjustable to each installation. The 24' option would be the safe bet for you. But the 18' should reach.

After installing you can use shears to cut off all but around 12".

Tv Reception.

The strap is put on a flat side of the chimney and bent around the corner and bent around the next corner and bent around the next corner , adjusted in the mounting bracket and then tightend.

No requirement to crank it down extra tight , but then do not want it loose and floppy either.
