Any chance of using the Industry Canada Database for FMFool

Andy,

I just want to say what a wonderful job you've done integrating the Industry Canada TVStation database.

Any chance of repeating this feat with the FMStation database for use with FMFool?

Hi,

I'm sure this is possible. It's simply a matter of finding the time to do it. FM transmitters outnumber TV transmitters, so it's a little more data to sort through, but I don't see any reason why it can't be done.

Does anyone happen to have a link to the FM database download site?

We have a few other projects going on at the moment, so I'm afraid it will be a while before I can devote full attention to this. I'll gladly start collecting the pieces I need and have them ready for later.

Best regards,
Andy

The FMSTATIO.dbf file is in the same zipfile as the TVSTATIO.dbf file, available from http://spectrum.ic.gc.ca/infoback/dgse/dbf/baserad.zip (ignore the message at http://spectrum.ic.gc.ca/infoback/dg.../baserade.html that says the files are from May 9, 2009, as I just downloaded the set today, and most of the files are from January 20 2010.)

You could also try the frequency search database at http://sd.ic.gc.ca/pls/engdoc_anon/w...cy_range_input but I don't know if you can get antenna pattern data out of it.
