Consider a UHF only, such as the 91XG, aimed at 250 degrees. Add a TVPRAMP-1R. This should get all the major networks with the possible exception of MyNet.

A VHF only antenna could add Trinity Broadcasting or a second PBS, but not both.

rotater necessary?

I am thinking of a buying a rotator for the antenna. I'm thinking I have to have it for the Champaign, Decatur channels. The RCA amp is better than a PA 18? I'm only asking, not debating. I'm always open for a better price, if the product is more bang for the buck. I also agree with the UHF only, but may add it later for WILL. This is the U of I PBS. I really have no interest in the other VHF. Those Peoria stations pixelated and drop on Mediacom, anywhere in town. I'm curious if Chicago might work at night?
