Possibly dumb question but here goes....

I'm going to be installing a leaf antenna on the north east second story exterior wall of my home. My fool report shows north/northeast is where most of my channels come from. I'm using an old wall penetration from when we had wireless wifi before cable Internet came to the area. This is very high up on the house, just below and partially protected by the soffit. My question is, if the antenna is touching my aluminum gutters/soffit/fascia which wrap all around my house, will this help my reception at all? It would be like 5000 sq ft of aluminum foil on rabbit ears. Lol.

I do not see a tvfool radar report.

Yes you can try using the gutters as a antenna , be not surprised if reception is worse.

Mounting any type antenna close to metal objects will change it's operating characteristics, usually in an undesirable way.

Yes, it would be helpful to see a TVFR.
