I've currently moved into a temporary house (maybe 6 months). I'd like to get all the major networks with a roof top antenna. The home currently has a 1 1/4" J-pole on the peak of the roof. The coax to reach it is about 40 feet from TV to antenna so I assume no amp will be needed. I would prefer a stationary antenna (multidirectional) to decrease cost since this is a temporary dwelling.
I can currently get all but NBC indoors but it requires repositioning and alot of luck. I would love to get the NBC affilate if there are inexpensive options avaiable. I've looked around at antennas but the claims seem quite unrealistic and inflated on many advertisments. i.e. small directional antennas with rotor, remote and up to 35db of gain for $30?! Those seem to follow the axiom of "if it seems to be too good too be true..." 35db alone seems completely unrealistic.
Below is a TV Signal Analysis report for my area (area code 32696). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
