Wtvf

WTVF has permission to move from low-VHF 5 to UHF 25. Can you please update the database to reflect that.

WOW. 2 weeks and over 70 views later and no replies. Is there a point to this forum?

If we enable the record for WTVF on channel 25, you will actually end up seeing two instances of WTVF. One on channel 5 and the other on channel 25. This is due to the quirky way in which these records have been entered into to FCC database.

We are working on a fix that will enable us to handle this strange exception case, but until that time, would you prefer to see a double entry for WTVF (showing both 5 and 25 transmitters) or do you prefer to see only the channel 5 transmitter (the one which is currently operating) and wait for the software fix to be done?

We have been busy processing data to enhance the accuracy of the models, so this particular fix, that so far only affects WTVF, may still take a few weeks to get implemented due to bigger changes happening behind the scenes.

Well you already have 2 instances of WTVF right now. One on 5 and one on 50. So what's the difference between that and having one on 5 and one on 25? To answer your question I'd rather see ch 25 so I guess that means showing both. That will be helpful anyways in seeing the difference in reception I can expect to get.

Note that in the FCC database there are two call signs, WTVH-DT (real channel 5, full service) and WTVF-LD (real channel 50, translator service). The two are treated as separate and distinct from one another here as well.

Thanks for you patience.
