Antenna recommendation - Adairsville, GA
I am trying to pick up the Atlanta channels located SE of our home.

Currently I am trying a Philips MANT940. Wife did not want big antenna if possible. I was surprised to receive most channels but signal strength varies and breaks up at times. Antenna is mounted on pole about 10 feet from ground.

Our house is brick sided and has metal roof, trees surround property.

Didn't hurt to try smaller antenna first. Isn't that what most people would want for their home instead of a huge 14 foot antenna?

At least now after trying that antenna, I know I will need something else. Hence the recommendation request.

Looking at the "Real channel" column, you'll see that you need to receive both high-VHF and UHF channels. You're going to need Some thing the size of a Winegard HD 7695P or an AntennaCraft HBU44. If you prefer a compact design, the pairing of Antennas Direct DB4 for UHF and C5 for VHF would work also (for more money.)

I recommend a Winegard HD7697P. The HD7697P will provide more signal strength so as to connect more the 1 Tv. Mount the antenna a minimum 4 feet above the metal roof. Here are some strong and sturdy antenna mounts , tripod mount , chimney mount , peak of the roof eave mount. The metal roof will block Tv transmissions so the antenna cannot be in the attic and the metal roof must not block the Tv reception to the south east. Hey David , I've had this antenna for over 7 months now and very happy with its performance. When I purchased mine it was $99 including shipping.
