Strange new channel

Greetings All,

Recently I have been receiving TV station WCWN (An Albany/Schenectady station) that I Have determined is RF channel 22, and an NTSC-V3 (NextGen) signal.

According to information from the Web, the transmitter for this station is well over 80 miles away from my home in Marlboro, NY, with the Catskill Mountains well in between.

Although my antenna is not the most directional (4 bay bow-tie), the signal appears to be coming from the EAST (which is where I pick up most of my other stations).

To add to this mystery, every 5 minutes or so, the signal disappears for a second or two (as per my Spectrum Display). Other than this strangeness, the signal is a fairly steady level.

Does anyone know if a satellite station is being set up in the Hudson Valley of NY?
If not, any idea where this mysterious station may be emanating from?

Thanx.

As the map indicates, there should NOT be any signal from this transmitter in Marlboro (West side of the Hudson River). Even weirder is that my antenna picks up the signal ONLY when pointed due East!

I WILL say that it is not a particularly strong signal. The signal level is just barely above what the TV needs to decode.

Also, if I look at various web sites, there SHOULD be at least 3 streams. I can only find 2. However, my Sony is LOUSY at identifying what streams are available on a given RF channel. The USB device I used for IDing what is present unfortunately does NOT do ATSC v3 (NexGen)..

Thanx for your help.

This post from AVS Forum indicates there are five channels on RF22:
