Kitztech preamp died...repairable?

All,

My kitztech preamp stopped working after about 5 years of use. I checked the 9VDC power supply and it works okay. I changed the preamp to my old winegard LNA-200 and it works fine, so there's no wiring problem.

I took the preamp apart and attached a photo of the PC board. There is a voltage regulator on the board (LM317) and it shows some signs of "heat stress" but it doesn't look like it's burned out. The board is surface mount so I can barely see the components, let alone repair them! I think the component that says "321D" is the amplifier chip.

Anyone have any advise on repairing these things?

Thanks,

Mike

I've never had one go bad, even 5 years later. Regardless, I'd email Kitztech and ask them if they'd repair it. If you haven't already done so.
