Metadata feeds

I am not a technician. I am a volunteer at a non-profit tv broadcast station. I would like to understand how my station can provide metadata on the screen when viewers press the INFO button on their clickers. I would also like to know how to provide information to online tv guides that tell viewers of our programming details.
Does this cost money?
Can anyone help me understand who to contact for this capability?

Thank You!
