help me pick a antenna please

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...cc499ee55716c8

Not too much blocking me here, few decent size trees and houses on either side. Plan on getting it at least above my roof line. Dont want to break the bank but want something way better then the antenna I had been using, I was given it by the lady next door and it had to be close to 25yrs old at least. It was about 8' long & was missing pieces and I was constantly going outside turning it depending on the channel.
Thanks for any Suggestions

A simple reception situation.

Above the roof install a ANT751 antenna with no preamplifier in such a manner that the roof or house is not blocking reception in the directions of , north west , west , south west , south , south east , east.

Aim the ANT751 antenna at about 184 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

The ANT751 antenna is a little directional toward the front of the antenna and also receives good at front angles and back angles and back of the antenna.

http://www.solidsignal.com , has the ANT751 antenna with a J type antenna mount for , low dollars.

Also check , http://www.amazon.com.

For one Tv connected use No splitter. No preamplifier.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter. No preamplifier.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install the ANT751 antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own house.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv set up menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.
