I have a few questions on buying the correct antenna for south nj

I bought and installed on my roof a approx 20ft high clearstream4. I picked up nbc10.1&10.2, cbs3.1, phl17.1-2,48.1-4,and a few more higher. I am missing Fox channel 29.1. I realize now I need a uhf antenna to get channel 6ABC and 12PBS. I was hoping to get NJ's channel 23 PBS but its a no go.
I am going to return the antenna I have to get a better combo one but what one should I get. I was looking at the clearstream2 complete that has both uhf and vhf but I don't know if it will do what I want.
I want fox for nascar and PBS for my 4 yr old.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Other than the second antenna you should also be thinking about combining the signals from two antennas. When you combine a VHF and UHF antenna, you will need a combiner. Don't use cheap splitter/combiner. Examples are
AD VHF/UHF Combiner
Leviton UHF/VHF Signal Combiner C5159
Axis HE8226

For the antenna selection others should be able to comment.

If you are combining two antennas aimed at two different markets, then it is better to use the same antenna models and point them in different directions. The cables should also be cut to the same length before they are joined. This will minimize the lag and phase cancellation. In such a case, you can use a standard splitter/combiner. However you are not in that situation as you need to combine a VHF with UHF.

The C4 would be expected to receive all the Philly stations except channels 6 & 12. Those two stations require a VHF antenna. A modest channel 2-13 unit, perhaps an AntennaCraft CS600 combined using our EU385CF combiner should work. If Fox isn't coming in with the C4, you'll likely need to move the antenna elsewhere and try again.

The C2v *might* work okay since WPVI has a signal that for channel 6 is pretty hot, but you'd do best with the correct antenna. The boss tested it last winter when he was in the area and said it picked up WPVI well enough.

The suggested Leviton and Axis devices are not useful for this project.

Your location has receivable Tv channels in the , VHF low band channels 2 thru 6 , VHF high band channels 7 thru 13 , UHF band channels 14 thru 51.

Add a Antenna Craft CS600 VHF low band VHF high band antenna.

Aim the CS600 antenna at about 20 degree magnetic compass.

Aim the CS4 at about 50 degree magnetic compass.
The CS4 is aimed at about 50 degrees magnetic compass to receive the Tv stations channels to the north/east and east.

Combine the Antenna Craft CS600 and Antennas Direct CS4 with a plastic housing weather protected UVSJ from Antennas Direct.

As always , the recommended aim direction is the starting aim direction.

The antenna can be turned to find a position that receive stations better in a direction with out losing stations at a other direction.

Ok. I tried the 50 degrees and had nothing so I put it back to the 24ish area and they are back. I think the 24 degress is ok. I got that from antennaweb. I will be getting the other recommended antenna and hooking that up in the next week or so. If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to post and I will try them or research them. Thanks all.

The 50 degrees is inbetween the Tv stations to the north/east and east.

The Tv is required to rescan when adjusting the antenna to find new channels.

Aim the antenna directly at WNJS Real UHF channel 22 , virtual channel 23 , PBS , at 99 degree magnetic compass and rescan.

Is WNJS received now??
