Reception Advice

Was looking for some advice/assistance with my OTA antenna situation. Current set-up is an attic mounted Channel Master 4220HD Metrotenna with pre-amp. I tend to get multipath intereference from even the stations closest to my location as I live in a heavily wooded area. I primarily want to improve signal stability vs. quality.

TV Fool results are attached....would a larger antenna help my situation?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Please post a Live And Active tvfool radar report , Not A Picture of a tvfool radar report.

Use the Exact address to make the tvfool radar report with the antenna height at 25 feet.

Have you tried testing reception with no amplifier? Or with the antenna outside (also with no amplifier)?

What is the make and model of the amplifier?

Re: the pre-amp, it is a Channel Master 7778. Signal quality is definitely worse without the pre-amp at its current location in the attic.

I have not tested outside, but have tested in other areas of the house (w/no pre-amp).

Install a Winegard HD7696P antenna above the roof in such a manner that the roof and house are not blocking reception to the , west north west and north east.

Aim the HD7696P antenna at about 312 degree magnetic compass direction.

If WRPX-DT UHF channel 15 ION at 27 degree magnetic compass direction is not received and you will like to to receive , try adjusting the direction of the HD7696P antenna.

If still not received install the Channel Master antenna aimed at about 27 degree magnetic compass direction.

The 2 antennas Will Not be connected together on to the same coax.

The coaxes will be separate all the way to the location/s of the Tv/s and connect to a Remote control A/B antenna coax switch at each Tv/s location.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reflecting or reducing or blocking Digital Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install the antennas at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own house.

Trees like to beat up antennas , if using the tree mount , cut tree branches away in such a manner that the branches can not whip around and bust up the antenna and are not reducing or blocking reception. Tall straight Pine trees work the best.
Falling out of a tree is very close to zero fun , so do not do it.
