ALL questions and answers about broadcast tv reception and More.

The following is a Teleview recommendation for broadcast Tv reception.

Antenna system number 1.

A Simple reception situation.

Above the roof install a Winegard HD7696P antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp aimed at about 150 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 tv's connected use a HFS-2D , 2way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

Buy the HFS splitters at , http://www.hollandelectronics.com , or , http://www.solidsignal.com.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at soldsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

It is best to locate a antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions in the direction of reception.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Broadcast Tv Channels sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

ALL questions and answers about broadcast tv reception and More.

The following is a Teleview recommendation for broadcast Tv reception.

Antenna system number 2.

Canada Tv stations/channels.

As a Test of reception , aim the HD7696P antenna at about 325 degree magnetic compass direction.

Rescan for Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels.

CBET-DT Digital VHF channel 09 , CBC.

CICO-DT Digital UHF channel 32 , TVO.

CHWI-DT Digital UHF channel 16 , CTV.

If reception is Ok with no signal dropouts.

Turn antenna system number 1 antenna back around for reception of the American Digital Tv stations/channels.
_________________________________________

Install a second HD7696P antenna with a CPA-19 preamp and etc.. the same as antenna system number 1 for reception of the Canada Digital Tv station/channels.

Antenna system number 1 and 2 Will Not be connected together on to one coax.

The antenna systems and coaxes are Separate all the way to the TV/s.

At each Tv location will be a Remote control A/B coax antenna switch connected to separate antenna systems coaxes.

And the output of the A/B switch is connected to Tv.

A/B antenna switching Is Channel Surfing Friendly , push the button on the hand held remote control , change antenna systems and keep on channel surfing.
