Issue receiving a station I should be receiving

Hi all. I am looking for some help receiving one station I should be easily getting.

I have put up a Winegard 2002 Omnidirectional antenna on our cabin 23' in the air on an eave mount. The reason I put a Omnidirectional antenna up is because the local NBC station is in the opposite direction than the other stations and I did not want to deal with a rotor for a cabin.

I ran 75' of RG-6 coax to our Sayno 39" Flatscreen.

Here is my signal analysis.

So here is my problem. For some reason I don't receive WSAW-TV Channel 7 CBS. What is weird about it is that I receive Channel 9 WAOW (ABC) and Channel 20 WHRM (PBS) just fine and their towers are in the exact same location. It does not appear like the Channel 7 has a lower power or anything. So why can I get ABC and PBS and can't get anything for CBS? It doesn't make any sense to me.

Also, those towers are only 18.2 miles from me. I marginally receive channel 12 WJFW NBC 40.2 miles away which is about the extended range for this antenna. That tells me all my connections are good.

Please give me your thoughts. Thanks.

Tv Reception.

Most likely the situation is , signal reflections = multipath.

Omnidirectional antennas do not reject multipath signal reflections.

Try other locations with the omnidirectional antenna.

If the situation is not resolved.

Install a Directional antenna.

Install a Winegard HD7696P antenna with no antenna amplifier aimed at about 219 degree magnetic compass direction.

WJFW Real UHF channel 16 , virtual number (12.1) NBC.
And
Repeater station W27AU-D Real UHF channel 27 , virtual number (12.1) NBC.

Are the same Tv station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WJFW-TV.

So that puts all the Tv stations/channels in one direction.

As always trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of , reducing , reflecting , blocking , Tv transmissions.

Locate the HD7696P antenna where there is the least amount or no amount of trees in the direction of south west the direction of reception , about 219 degree magnetic compass direction.

Always rescan for channels after moving a antenna or installing a new antenna.

Thank you. Is it common for this to occur with one station but not another when the transmitter is in the same location?

I didn't notice or didn't figure it out that the channel 27 was also NBC. Good to know.

BTW, moving the antenna is not an option for this situation. I would live without CBS before moving the antenna.

Tv Reception.

Yes of VHF high band channels 7 thru 13.

Channel 7 is the most effected by multi path signal reflections and other interfering signal transmissions and then channel 9.

Channels , 8 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 , not so much.

Omnidirectional antennas are not 100% omnidirectional, sometimes it can help to turn the antenna to find a position that has a little better reception.

It is still Ok to install the HD7696P antenna.
