Hello, I have two new Tivo Premiere's. There hooked up to my 30-35 yr old attic antenna that looks simular to a CM 3018 6-7' long. My problem is with the UHF channels primarly 2-1 around 25-35 on Tivo meter, but 4-1,5-1,9-1 are also between 41-55 most of the time. What happens is that 2-1 will freeze. 7-1 and 11-1 Hi VHF are good 86-94 on the meter never a problem. I tried moving antenna and installing a Winegard Distribution Amp HDA-100. When I installed the amp about 20' from antenna, then down 30' to the 4 set spliter, and then 20-30' out to all the separate lines, all the UHF channels went to 0 on the Tivo Meter, but on regular TV (w/o Tivo hooked up) were okay?? So I double checked hookup everything was okay. Then I hooked it up with the power inserter down in the basement near the 4 set splitter same results. So then I tried going direct from the antenna w/o amp and 4 set splitter, I got the same result all the uhf gone???? Then I installed a 2 set splitter only and the one line to the one Tivo, all the channels came back, but still the signal levels were the same just slightly higher??? So removed the 2 set splitter and hooked up the 4 set splitter, so everything was back to where I started, all channels back and 2-1 still freezing at times. So now that you know all this info, why won't a Tivo work with the Distribution Amp and why with nothing but a straight line to one Tivo did I also loose all the UHF? This really doesn't make much sense??
