Antenna Selection (includes some VHF-HI)

I'm trying to pick out an antenna to install and am hoping someone who knows the models out there can help with some advice. My TV Fool plot is here. I'm interested in real channels 7, 9, 16, and 31 (channel 38 could be substituted for 16 if it would be easier to receive, which I doubt). So you can see I have a couple of VHF-HI to deal with. I plan on mounting the antenna outside, on a pole, above the roof line. I'd like to avoid a rotor if possible, and also would lean towards something without a super long boom if I could make it work. I'm just not sure how feasible that is for the VHF-HI. I've been looking at the RCA ANT751R and that seems like it has potential, although I'm not sure if that would be the best choice or not. I'd also be up for potential DIY building if that would be a good option. Thanks for the help.

A easy set-up for 7-9-16-31 with a short boom and no rotor.

Use an Antennas Direct DB2 aimed around 95 degrees magnetic for real channels16 and 31. Use an Antennacraft Y5-7-13 aimed to 147 degrees magnetic to receive real channels 7-9. Use a Winegard AP2870 amplifier. This has seperate U/V inputs and one coax output.

You could add a rotor later if you need more channels. Use an Aspen Eagel Roto 100. This will be easy as it is compatable with the 2870 amplifier in the rotor configuration that operates off of the signal coax.

Aim a ANT751 antenna with a Channel Master CM7778 preamp aimed at about 126 degree magnetic compass.

As always Tv reception is reduced or blocked by trees and tree leaves and by buildings and other obstructions , mount the antenna up high in a manner that has the least amount of obstructions to the , south east , east , north.

Important question --> How many Tv'a are/will be connected??

Thanks for the responses. At this point just one TV will be connected. I will probably still get a preamp, though, as the coax run may be fairly long after that point. I should be able to get the preamp very close to the antenna, though. Do you think the ANT751 would work in my situation? It would certainly be easier than mounting two antennas, but I can't find the information about the gain figures and beam pattern to really know if it would have enough gain for my situation or not. Yes I think the ANT751 will work , that is why I recommend it.

The ANT751 does have some forward gain , that is why I recommend aim the ANT751 at the weak Tv station WFXS FOX at 126 degree magnetic compass.

Your location has Tv stations in more then one direction , the ANT751 is not a very directional antenna and receives fairly well in all directions.

Hense , the recommendation of the ANT751 with a CM7778 preamp.

For one Tv connection use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a ,

HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a ,

HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

The HFS splitters pass power through the splitter from the Power supply/Power Inserter on the inside of the house to the actual preamplifier that is mounted close to the antenna.
