reception help

This is the tvfool signal chart for my location.
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...14f360b6f1ee8f

I have a winegard yagi about 35 ft. above ground and from the chart I am only able to pick up a few stations. I get WLFI, WICD, and WTHR. I am wondering why I am not getting other stations in the 116˚ direction? This antenna has a preamp only. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

help

The antenna is a HD7698 and the preamp is a winegard HDP269 squareshooter. I have the most channel reception at the approximate 80˚ direction picking up WICD with a subchannel and WLFI with 2 sub channels and WTHR with 2 sub channels. When I rotate to other directions, I loose channels that I have and don't seem to find any new ones.

Thanks for your reply.

For my recommendation the square shooter will not be used at all. For the reception of the digitl tv stations to the east south east , WLFI at 81 degree magnetic compass and the group of stations at about 117 degree magnetic compass I recommend aim the HD7698P antenna with the HDP-269 preamp at about 117 degree magnetic compass and scan for Broadcast Digital Tv Stations. And for the tv stations to the west south west , you have a choice , the one HD7698P antenna can be put on a Channel Master rotor CM9521A , or , a second HD7698P antenna with a HDP-269 preamp can be installed and aimed at about 263 degree magnetic compass. If you choose the 2 antenna solution , then separate coax from each antenna will go to the location of the tv and a , AB27RS , remote control A/B antenna switch will select the 2 antennas.

help

First John, thank you for your help. I have only the Winegard HD7698P and the HDP 269 pre amp on a 35 ft. Rohn tower. the pre amp was designated with the "squareshooter" name, sorry for the confusion. The antenna set up has a CM rotor that is working. I will attempt to get a signal again in the 117 direction to see if I can get the other stations.

The tv or tuning device Needs to scan for , Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Not analog broadcast tv channels , Not analog cable channels , Not digital cable channels.
