I live in College Station, Tx and direct TV just raised my rate $30.00 month. The only other option is streaming video and replacing the Direct Tv dish on the roof with an Antenna. I need so advise on the best Antenna to purchase. Listed below is my info.

Based on the tvfool radar plot report and channel list that is resolved to street level and not the Exact address.

Install above the roof in such a manner that the roof and house is not blocking reception to the , north west and east , install a Winegard HD7696P antenna aimed at about 310 degrees magnetic compass direction.

No preamp is required.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install the HD7696P antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

I have a Winegard HD7696P antenna with a cheap 4-way 10dB UHF/VHF FM Amplifier that I purchased at Lowes. It help boost the signal enough on two of the ten channels. Lately one the channels come and goes through out the day with loss of signal.

Is there a Amplifier you could recommend that might boost the signal enough. Some days there is not an issue, other days it's up and down.

Weather/Water gets into outside connections and coax and carrodes the connections and degrades reception.

For outside coax use coax that has the Compession type connectors on the ends of the coax. Not the crimp type connectors.
