Antenna config for NEPA

Hey guys, check out my analysis...

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...5b94c555ce67d2

As you can see I have stations in all 4 directions, and they're a mix of UHF and VHF so I'm not quite sure how to design a setup. It looks like I will need more than 1 antenna and at least 1 combiner. I am going to mount about 80 to 100 ft above the ground on my chimney with little to no obstructions.

I would very much appreciate suggestions and advice for antennas and setup. I have heard good things about the 91xg for long range UHF...other than that, I'd like to hear your opinions. I'm planning on using 2 or maybe 3 tvs, with the longest cable run being about 120 ft roughly.

You've got my curiosity piqued... in most cases, mounting at 80' AGL would call for an engineered tower or access to a commercial multistory building. A three story home would be between 35' and 45'...

Regardless, your report shows signals from one direction, maybe two, which are strong enough to expect reliable reception. I'd start with one antenna, test reception, then decide if adding more makes sense.

Start with a Winegard HD7698P or Antennacraft HBU-55. Point toward 35° (compass). You should see the major networks affiliates from Scranton and may see some other signals.

Than, use the antenna to check other directions for receivable signals... What you learn from this test will help you decide if an additional antenna is going to be useful.

Thanks for your reply...my house is 3 stories..2 floors plus the attic, so I guess I grossly overestimated...I will redo my signal analysis..

Here it is at 45 ft..

Thanks for the second TVFR.

I believe the previous antenna suggestions are still appropriate. The only station that you might add would be WBPH, real CH-9. If you want to go after it, a second antenna such as the Antennacraft Y10713 could be added. With and AC-7 combiner from tinlee.com you could merge the two antennas into a common down-lead.

Again, before committing money to a second antenna, I would use the large combo antenna to 'sweep' the horizon, checking to see if any additional signals were reliable and of enough importance to me to go to the expense of a second antenna and combiner.
