Antenna Suggestions for Attic

I recently bought just a set of cheap rabbit ears to see what kind of channels I can get. I really didn't get many of the ones I want to get, so I took the antenna upstairs and got a few more channels. Many of the channels just cut in and out.

Below is the link to my signal analysis.

I would like to get most of the major networks like ABC, CBS, FOX, etc if possible. ABC is one of the ones the wife wants the most and one of the ones that I wasn't so successful with

I have determined I will put an antenna up in the attic but I'm not sure which antenna to get. I have a pretty good amount of room that I can hang it high up in the attic. Can't go out side because of HOA restrictions.

I'm pretty much at a loss as to what I would need to get it working

How , housing covenuts, and etc. are Null and Void by the Federal Antenna Law that Clearly States that a Broadcast Tv Antenna of Any Size can be installed above the roof in such a manner so as to have reliable Tv reception.

Hoa's and housing covenuts and other over bearing people and oginazations are aware of the Federal Antenna Law and the Fact that the Federal Antenna Law protects you and missions of other people.

Some Hoa's and people and orginizations will keep their mouth shut about the Federal Antenna Law , thinking you and millions of other people will not find out about the Federal Antenna Law.

And if you do know about it you will not understand that you can install a Broadcast Tv Antenna of any size above the roof so as to have reliable reception.

Some Hoa's and etc. will try and trick you by saying you can not install a Broadcast Tv Antenna that is larger then 1 meter.

The 1 meter size applies Directly to the small staeite dish and not the Broadcast Tv Antennas.

The Federal Anyenna Law is written in a way that Stops Hoa's and etc. from being over bearing and taking away your rights.

------------

Attics and inside of buildings Are Not a reception friendly environment and Never Will Be a reception friendly environment.

The signal strength Tv reception is strong signal strengths at your reception location.

Yes you can start with a , www.antennacraft.net , HBU11K , antenna in the attic aimed at about 220 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas, www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna.

--------

A antenna system amplifier is not required.

---------

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a simple common 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a simple common 3 way splitter.

--------

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. .

www.antennacraft.net

www.amazon.com

-----------

If reception situations/problems happen in with the HBU11K antenna in the attic that are not resolvable by adjusting the antenna aim direction and changing the location of the HBU11K antenna in the attic.

Then move the HBU11K antenna to Above The Peak Of The Roof and aim the HBU11K antenna at about 220 degree magnetic compass direction.

---------

As Allways , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own , attic , roof , building.

Some and not all Negative Effects are.

Absorbing and Blocking Reception.

Multi-Path Reflecting Tv Signals Bouncing All Around.

The Best Pratctice is to install the HBU11K antenna or any other antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own , attic , roof , building.

--------

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air , ATSC-Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels , often named the ~ DTV Channels ~ Antenna Channels ~ Air Channels ~ in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv Tuners will Automatic channel scan for cable Tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable Tv channels.

Go into the Digital Tv Setup Menu and select ~ DTV Channels ~ Antenna Channels ~ .

Scan for , ATSC-Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels.
