Antenna Selection - Palm Beach County, FL

I am wondering what type of indoor (preferable) or small outdoor antenna would be best in my situation.

Here is my analysis:
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...c84fbe36f2c119

I am in an apartment on the second floor with one floor above me. My balcony (which the TV is right next to) faces roughly south and southeast. I have been considering the Terk antennae as well as the Mohu Leaf but am unsure if I should buy amplified or non-amplified or if I should consider other options.

Thanks for any help you can give!

The long list of strong local signals argues against use of an amplifier.

The Terk HDTVi (not HDTVa) would be a better option than the UHF only Leaf.

I was thinking along those lines so you've confirmed my inclination. Thank you for your input.

Indoor Tv antenna reception is not a reception friendly environment and never will be a reception friendly environment.

The building construction that is the best for indoor antenna Tv reception is , wood with wood or vinyl siding and a composition shingle roof.

The following is a - Non complete list - of building construction that will reduce or block Tv reception. Concrete , concrete blocks , bricks , big rocks for walls , metal siding , metal roof , metal backed insulation , stucko Wire , solar panels , tile roof , concrete shingles.

The groups of Digital Tv stations are to the , south , north east , north , north west.

Aim the HDTVi antenna through the balcony glass door to the south.

Here is how to aim antennas. http://www.kyes.com/antenna/poingong/pointing.html.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Digital Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including the apartment building.

It is best to install a antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception.
