Reception from 2 Channel groups located 120° apart

I currently have an ANT751 installed in my attic and pointing approximately in a WNW (300°) direction. I get all of the following channels (2.1, 6.1, 8.1, 10.1, 17.1, 26.1, 32.1, 42.1). Interestingly, 8.1, 10.1, 17.1, 32.1 & 42.1 are at 320°, 6.1 is at 230° and I presume that 2.1 & 26.1 are at 301°.

1) Isn't the ANT751 relatively directional and why would I be able to get channels that are spread 90° apart?

I'm going to swing my ANT751 around to approximately 260° in hopes of getting also getting 12.1, 24.1 & 28.1 which are located in a 200° direction. If this does not work, I may need two antennas.

2) Is it possible to combine the input from two ANT751 antennas with one pointing at 320° and the other at 200° without using a A/B switch box?

NOTE: I believe that your database is not showing 2.1 (CBUT; CBC English) and 26.1 (CBUFT; CBC French) however, we get do them.

Thanks,
Jim

The ANT751 is a small antenna and as such is not all that directional.

The bigger a antenna is the more directional the antenna becomes.

The ANT751 does have some directional forward direction gain , and also receives very well at the , back , back angles , and front angles. The least amount of reception is on the sides.

I recommend aim the ANT751 antenna at about 183 degree magnetic compass direction. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Improved reception will happen with the antenna installed above the Roof in such a manner the reception is not blocked by the roof or the house in the directions of , north west , south west , south , east.

Here are some common roof top antenna mounts , tripod antenna mount , eave antenna mount , chimney antenna mount , J type antenna mount.

Here are some places to buy antenna mounts and ect. , http://www.saveandreplay.com , http://www.trentondistributors.com , http://www.canadapost.ca/shopper , http://www.amazon.ca , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own house.

It is best to install a antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own house.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

___________________________________________

2 Tv antennas that receive different channel bands , as an example , UHF and VHF can be combined with a special coupler named a UVSJ.

However 2 antennas that are alike and aimed in different directions can not be combined , the 2 antennas will cross talk and the reception will be out of phase with 2 alike channel band antennas , the reception Will Be Bad.

The Tv channel bands are ,

VHF low band channels 2 thru 6.

VHF high band channels 7 thru 13.

UHF band channels 14 thru 51.

The data base is showing both Digital Tv stations/channels ,

CBUT-DT REAL UHF Digital channel 43 , virtual number (2.1) CBC.

CBUFT-DT REAL UHF Digital channel 26 , virtual number (26.1) SRC French Tv.
